Having Fun Exploring Cool Payson & Pine

Posted by & filed under Featured Shops.

On our front cover is a sampling of the great antiques, collectibles, vintage and even new items that the shops of Payson and Pine have to offer. We recently spent a fun-filled day exploring the area, visiting shops and enjoying a cool break from the Phoenix 100 degree temperature.

Each store has its own unique style and flair so it was exciting to discover the many treasures on display, especially those from years gone by. Antique furniture, kitchenware, linens, photos, magazines and more come in all sizes from small to large. Collectibles, mid-century modern and vintage pieces are always fun to find. We saw some very nice cabin style and rustics pieces that would be great for decorating both inside or outside living areas.

Many shops blend newer items with their antiques to appeal to all tastes and décor. The enticing results show the possibilities for mixing antiques in home design as well as fashion. The final look can be casual, formal or somewhere in between, depending upon what the goal is. But a range of choices was available in the shops we visited.

By the end of the day, we had chatted with most of the wonderful shop owners, learning some of their own stories as well as the history of Payson and Pine. Our visit ended much too soon and left us eager to plan another trip to this wonderful area.

There are many events in store for the coming months and we hope you will be tempted to plan a day or even more to wander around and explore Payson and Pine. Check out the ads on page     for shops and activities.
