The Rustic Hutch Celebrates 30 Years!
It seems like in the blink of an eye 30 years have gone by! 30 years since we took that leap to do what we loved. Crafting. And that evolved into The Rustic Hutch. When we opened in 1996, we started with primitive décor. As time has gone by, lots of styles have come and gone, Shabby Chic, Vintage, Farmhouse, etc., but we still love our primitives.
Over the years we’ve had some awesome vendors join our shop. Many have been with us for over 10 years. Lillian has been with us for 28 years with her handmade items! We have handmades, repurposed items, pickers and market items, just to name a few. We like having a variety of items in the shop to make our customers’ shopping experience fun. Finding just the right items they are looking for.
You noticed I say “we.” That’s hard to change. Roger passed away 5 years ago, along with our shop dog Hailey. That was a very sad year for us. We now have a new shop dog, Grace, to greet the customers. We’ve had deaths, births and many changes over the years. We are a family at The Rustic Hutch, so it affects us all.
So, 30 years and still hanging in there! We couldn’t have done it without our loyal customers. Thank you for your support. We wouldn’t be here without you. And all my vendors and helpers that have been with me for what seems like forever! Renee has been my right hand for 29 years!
And we’ve advertised with The Antque Register for most of that time too!
