It’s going to be a party atmosphere when Covered Wagon Antique Mall in Mesa celebrates its First Anniversary on October 1! Special activities to thank customers and dealers who have made this first year a big success will include a storewide sale, cake, a variety of food truck vendors and games and prizes to win!
There will be raffle items donated by Owners Tonya and Kenny Glawe and the dealers with a $1 raffle box for each item and several door prize drawings for $25 gift certificates. They will be drawn at the end of this fun day and the winners will be notified.
Covered Wagon Antique Mall features 200 dealers in an open and spacious 35,000 square feet of “Reminiscing, Nostalgia & Good Ol’ Memories.” There is a large variety of furniture, sports memorabilia, collectibles, military, vintage/retro clothing, jewelry, shabby chic and much more.
A variety of booth sizes accommodate the dealers and their merchandise, including some that are deep and wide to allow nice displays of furniture. Aisles are clearly marked and there is a section in the rear of the store called End of the Trail where the dealers have placed items to sell at up to 50% discount.
Throughout the mall there are discounts set by the dealers and Tuesday is Senior Day with 10% off. There is a monthly guessing game called “What Is It?” with a mystery item on display. Customers can put their best guess in a box and, at the end of the month, the person who has guessed right wins a $25 gift certificate.
The Glawes created the mall in a western theme and have worked hard to avoid a cookie cutter feel and to make Covered Wagon Antique Mall a very friendly and welcoming place whether visitors are shopping or just browsing. They pride themselves on customer service—from the “hello” when you walk through the door to the dealers who are ready to help or give you directions, everyone’s goal is to make you feel right at home. There is even a Chuck Wagon where you can purchase a snack or a drink. Delivery service is available.
Tonya and Kenny love antiques and have been buying and selling for many years. After working at another antique mall, the two decided it was time to move to their own location and create an atmosphere that suited their own ideas. The couple says they look forward to going to work each day, doing what they love, helping customers and also working with their dealers. Future goals include auctions, car shows, coin shows and craft and painting classes.
