After 10 great years in the town of Wickenburg, my wife Bonnie and I decided it was time to move our Copperstate Cowboy Antique Gallery to a location closer to home. We have always lived in Sun City West during our tenure in Wickenburg but the daily drive, including the travel time and gas, was getting the best of us.
Our customer base is largely from the West and Northwest areas of the Phoenix Metropolitan area so we looked for a location that would be more convenient for our customers and closer to home. After several months of searching, we settled on a great location in the Bell Camino Plaza in Sun City, 10738 W. Bell Road at the corner of Del Webb Boulevard. Look for our faithful rearing horse, Copper, in front of the store.
Although we miss the western character of our old location, the new place will work out great. As past customers know and new customers will find out, the Copperstate Cowboy has been in business for almost 20 years and we plan to continue for many more!
We are not just a western collectibles’ store—we carry so much more. Our shelves and spaces are filled with things that not only bring back memories, but there are new items from artisans and artists that will stir your decorating imagination.
There is great antique furniture, mid century pieces, taxidermy, unusual and exciting dinnerware and cowboy gear. We also have a life-size painted pony that was done by multiple artists for the Arizona State Fair. One customer came in and told us that we had a “ WOW” place.
It takes a while to actually see everything. Whatever your decorating or collecting interests are, it’s worth the time to stop by. We work with many decorating and staging consultants who know they can usually find what they’re looking for or we’ll find it for them through our network of contacts.
Our service to our customers is of the greatest importance to Bonnie and me. Our hours are Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or by appointment.
