28th Annual New Mexico Insulator, Bottle, Barbwire & Collectibles Show

The Enchantment Insulator Club and the New Mexico Historical Bottle Society will be holding its 28th Annual Insulator, Bottle, Barbwire & Collectibles Show on Saturday, September 26 in Moriarty, New Mexico.

This jointly sponsored event is a long-standing collectibles show in the desert southwest. This year’s show is in the new town Civic Center, located at 202 Broadway Ave in Moriarty, New Mexico. About 35 miles east of Albuquerque, this is a wonderful venue, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city but with easy access.

While the show is centered around historic bottles and insulators, there will be dealers specializing in Civil War and Indian artifacts, postcards, barbwire, small antiques, bottle caps, Route 66 items, telegraph collectibles, lightning rod equipment and railroad memorabilia.

One of the “high-points” of the show are the competitive exhibits covering the various hobbies. Many of the displays are “world-class” in scope and people come just to view these educational exhibits.

The 7,000 square feet space makes room for the many sales tables to fit easily and also allow for six-foot wide aisles. There will be an expected 40 venders and 60 plus show tables filled with all manner of collectibles. A few tables are still available for interested dealers.

This one-day event opens at 8:30am and runs until 4:00pm. There is no entrance fee to the event and a catered barbeque lunch for purchase will be served mid-day. Local musicians will provide entertainment during the event. Overnight accommodations in Moriarty are plentiful and reasonably priced.
