It is a delight to feature Charleston Antique Mall on our cover. This is a huge Mall located close to the Las Vegas Strip that is filled with antiques, collectibles, vintage and retro home furnishings, clothing, books and more. The amazing merchandise comes from locations far and wide and is offered at incredible prices.
The Mall has 18,000+ square feet of shopping space with more than 75 different dealers, each bringing in different items and tastes, creating a unique look and feel. The common thread is that everything is either vintage or antique. The diverse staff provides extensive knowledge, understanding, interests and expertise, all of which is available to help customers. The Mall was voted Best Antique Store in Las Vegas for four years!
Mall owners are Michelle Tully and Steve Perez. When asked what one phrase best describes their business, Steve said, “The joy of variety.”
In keeping with that, Charleston Antique Mall offers a variety of unique activities that include hosting free events and classes as well as hosting special guests for book signings. There is an online Etsy store that has different merchandise from that in the physical Mall.
As with many established businesses in Las Vegas, Charleston Antique Mall has a long and interesting history. It started in1987 on Western Ave. as The Red Rooster in a building reminiscent of an old barn and was filled with antique and collectible goodies. It expanded in 1992 and, in 2006, the name was changed to Charleston Antique Mall to reflect a new Charleston Blvd. location.
In March 2008, dealers Michelle and her husband Cal Tully bought the business and, with their love of and passion for antiques and vintage collectibles, Charleston Antique Mall started to become a must-stop location that was again expanding to accommodate new dealers. Their son Steve came into the business to work with technical and building responsibilities. By 2012, the Mall had become a gem in the crown of Las Vegas and a must-stop destination for visitors and locals alike—and it remains that today.
In 2012, a highway realignment required another move and, fortunately, an even larger building was found that met their needs and so the Mall moved to 560 S. Decatur Blvd. where you’ll find it today. As fate would have it, this new location turned out to be in the Charleston Heights shopping center! On July 1, 2012, Charleston Antique Mall re-opened to a huge and excited crowd! With its long Vegas history and popularity, it is not surprising that they continually hear stories from customers who come into the Mall to find treasures and end up sharing memories of previous visits from over the years.
Charleston Antique Mall is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is fully air-conditioned plus there is plenty of free parking. It is brightly lit with wide aisles, making it fun and easy to shop.
