Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club ChipGuide Hits 100,000 Items!

The Museum of Gaming History has added its 100,000th item to the ChipGuide in the past few days! The online ChipGuide is the largest global catalog of casino memorabilia.

The catalog includes all types of casino collectible items, mostly chips but includes tokens, silver strikes, jetons, plaques, dice, playing cards, slot cards, TITO’s (Ticket In Ticket Out), ashtrays, matchbooks, post cards, room keys and a host of other items. Items are displayed with images and descriptions. The ChipGuide is organized geographically, enabling you to see its casino collectible items by region and then state.

The ChipGuide was started by collector Greg Susong in the early 2000s. When Greg passed away, his family donated the ChipGuide to the Museum of Gaming History with 16,500 items in 2009. The website was redesigned, enhanced, expanded and a team was formed to maintain and add new content. The ChipGuide adds about 2,000 new items per month and is still in a “building” mode, mostly catching up with items from the past. The ChipGuide is the definitive resource for collectors of gaming related memorabilia.

The Museum of Gaming History is a project of the Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collector’s Club. Established in 1988, the Club is a 501(c)(3) educational organization with the mission of preserving gaming history. It has created a resource for information and history on gaming memorabilia – chips, tokens, dice, slot cards, playing cards, etc.
